Each thread is tied together with a knot and threads \u201cgrow\u201d outward from a core \u201cbranch to branch\u201d. A way of clearing \/ \u201cplacing\u201d. This is also about the \u201duse and throw\u201d and a very psychotic relation to this. My work is now mounted and I also could peep into the upcoming exhibition. The spans are large in size, weight, and artistic expression. I think my work has to be the lightest work in the exhibition. Perhaps under 100 g\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>Dimensions:<\/strong> approximately 40x40x130 cm<br \/>\n<strong>Material:<\/strong> The threads extracted from my needlepoint work with elements of print on the thread, string core.<\/p>\n<p>\u2039Audgunn Naustdal Holsen does not openly express any specific content in her \u2039Tr\u00e5dknyting\u203a (\u2039Thread Knotting\u203a), but the delicate form and process-oriented aspects can give associations to ways of coping with grief. Holsen makes three-dimensional knots with stiff canvas threads, and the many linked threads are reminiscent of networks of cells or fragile structures spun by a spider. \u201cTr\u00e5dknyting\u201d is about its own meditative process, and about making use of even the smallest leftover bits.
