From my work she chose an Art Work that consists of a large quantity of thread scraps. Each thread is tied together with a knot and threads “grow” outward from a core “branch to branch”. A way of clearing / “placing”. This is also about the ”use and throw” and a very psychotic relation to this. My work is now mounted and I also could peep into the upcoming exhibition. The spans are large in size, weight, and artistic expression. I think my work has to be the lightest work in the exhibition. Perhaps under 100 g…
Dimensions: approximately 40x40x130 cm
Material: The threads extracted from my needlepoint work with elements of print on the thread, string core.

‹Audgunn Naustdal Holsen does not openly express any specific content in her ‹Trådknyting› (‹Thread Knotting›), but the delicate form and process-oriented aspects can give associations to ways of coping with grief. Holsen makes three-dimensional knots with stiff canvas threads, and the many linked threads are reminiscent of networks of cells or fragile structures spun by a spider. “Trådknyting” is about its own meditative process, and about making use of even the smallest leftover bits. It has a heartfelt and vulnerable quality, and will elicit extremely individual and personal interpretations from the viewers›‹.
