‹Figures for comfort›, 2005, ca 25x18x15 cm, wool blanket/wool material, wood wool, wool tassel, embroidery and applications.

Norwegian Arts and Crafts has since 1975 had yearly juried exhibitions of Norwegian arts and crafts. In 2012, this exhibition became a material based triennial. This year it is the textile that are in focus. The exhibition is juried.

<Figure for comfort> which is part of this exhibition, is the product of a process of flower swaths (pattern) in a woollen blanket is been cut out … The space between the swaths flowers are sewn together and I tried to shape them to “good and gentle shapes”. Several figures of comfort for our modern times  -without deeper meaning…
